ManageFlitter Javascript Hack

The window of opportunity for building a huge free follower base on Twitter is closing. It is only going to get more difficult in the future.

This week there has a been a little controversy with the "ManageTwitter" app. They were forced to rename themselves "ManageFlitter" and remove some site functionality Tuesday. Basically, Twitter is cracking down on apps that help you unfollow lots of people. Encroachment on developers was a big topic of discussion at the official Twitter conference, where I met @ev - founder of Twitter.

Unfollowing people who don't follow you is a perfectly reasonable thing to do when you are building your following. Unfortunately, due to abuse by spammers, Twitter is making this a lot harder for us honest people to do. It is critical to do this right to avoid having your account penalized by Twitter.

The feature that ManageFlitter was forced to change was the multiple selection of users on its unfollow page. Luckily, with an easy javascript hack, you can re-select all the checkboxes.

First, connect to ManageFlitter normally using Firefox or Google Chrome. When you have a list of users you'd like to unfollow, open up the javascript console and run these two lines:

$("input[name='unfollow[]']").attr({checked:true});

$("#buttonUnfollowAll").trigger('click')

This will check all the checkboxes and click the "unfollow all" button for you.

I'm working hard to get a new video training course ready. In the videos, I show you how to get 1,000 targeted followers with less than 2 hours of work.

Of course, there is a lot more to maximizing Twitter than just getting followers. Imagine if you had a system for collecting new customers that you could set up and monitor in just 20 minutes a day. What would 1,000 new customers - or even just meeting your 1 most important new client - do for your business or web site?

As of this writing, there were 29 discount slots left for the training. To get your discount, and a free copy of the "Avoiding the Follower Churn Penalty" report go here:

Stay tuned to @twibes regarding the availability the course!

PS. The "Avoiding the Follower Churn Penalty" report is brand new, the only way to get it is to send a tweet from this page...
